The purpose of NPO Global Futures Kyoto is to identify regional assets,
to establish the basis for a social community referred to as the “Commons,”
and to support comprehensive activities and projects aimed at revitalization
of the regional and global environments for the benefit of the individuals
and groups contributing to international cultural exchanges. In accordance
with the general purpose and goals of the organization, GFK will be participating
in the following activities:
(1) Activities Promoting Urban Development
(2) Promotion of Academic, Cultural, Artistic or Athletic Activities
(3) International Collaboration Activities
(4) Activities Promoting the Development of an Information-Based Society
(5) Promotion of Activities Based on Science and Technology
(6) Promotion of Economic Activities
(7) Development of Occupational Skills and Expanding Employment Opportunities
(8) Supporting Organizations Associated with the Foregoing Activities
Future Projects for the NPO:
(1) Lectures, workshops and study tours on regional revitalization and international
exchanges
(2) Investigation, research and support activities on regional revitalization and international exchanges
(3) Publications on various media
(4) Dispatch urban development specialists for supporting regional revitalization
activities
(5) Housing project associated with the urban and regional revitalization noted in (1)
through (4) above
(6) International exchange activities associated with the activities noted
in (1)
through (4) above
(7) Other projects deemed necessary to achieve GFK’s goals
